Why the blog?
Hey friends of LDS Rags. We wanted to use the blog as a forum for good ideas. In the sense that we wanted to create a space where members of the church can share ideas with other members to deal with problems, or issues, or concerns, or questions that they may be having. That being said, we don't want this to turn into a place where "deep" doctrines are discussed or questioned. Frankly, this is not the place for it. But, what we do want this to serve as is a place to relate this kind of question:

we keep it short and simple. We always involve the kids- they pick the songs and say the prayers. we try to use visuals and often role play. we try to always keep it to 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that we've started doing is that with the lesson we've incorporated some keynote (mac) or powerpoint (pc) lessons, with some multimedia accents. The other night we were talking about sharing, and we sang "give give little stream" with the music from the www.lds.org website providing the music, and lyrics, and then we watched a quick video of what Elmo said about sharing. It was awesome and my son who is 2 loved it. Definitely short was key.
